Ivy Rockmore is a writer by way of Toronto and Texas. She lives between New York and Rhode Island. Her play, BI MEN, is forthcoming in print from 1319 Press in Fall 2026.

Ivy was the only undergrad selected to attend the Sewanee Writers' Conference in 2026, receiving funding from the estate of Tennessee Williams to workshop her play, DOLLHOUSE, under Anne Washburn. Most recently, she traveled to Asheville, North Carolina with support from the Brown Arts Institute to conduct research on the Black Mountain College for her thesis play. She has been featured in The New York Times, VOGUE India, Texas Monthly, and The Advocate. Her work is concerned with the failure of the image, the performance of intimacy, and desire as a means of accessing emotional registers that systems cannot sustain.

Her writing has been recognized by the John F. Tinker Foundation for First Amendment Rights and the Dallas Morning News, and she is the 2025 recipient of the Michael S. Harper Memorial Prize in Poetry. She studies Literary Arts and History of Art at Brown University. She is indebted to her mentor, B Dang.
